The oil cleansing method, or OCM, was developed to help ladies get really clean pores while helping the skin look its greatest.  It can be done on all skin types depending on which oils you choose.  For dry skin, you will need some castor oil and some sunflower seed oil.  Let’s begin.

1. Begin my mixing 90% sunflower seed oil with 10% castor oil.  You may wish to play around with the amounts to see what works for you.  Castor oil is slightly drying so you do no want to add too much of it.

2. Apply to your face and rub into skin for 3 to 5 minutes.

3. Using a hot washcloth, place it over the skin and allow to set until the cloth cools.

4. Gently wipe the oil with the washcloth to get the oil off the skin.

If you have oily skin, your skin can benefit from OCM, or the oil cleansing method.  You may be thinking that is just crazy, why would I want to add more oil to my face?  The logic is because oil dissolves oil, so if you do this, then you can be sure to get off all the oil on your face.  Here is what you can do to combat your oil and get the clear skin you have dreamed about.

1. At night, pour a small amount of castor oil into your palm.  Add a smaller amount of olive oil.  You can play with the amounts to see what works for you.

2. Mix the two oils and then apply to the face.  Rub into the face for 3 to 5 minutes, really working it deep into the pores.

3. Rinse off with warm to hot water.  It may be hard to get off but allow the water to really try to take it off.  It works the best to have water running over your face in the shower.

4. Apply your regular cleanser to remove all traces of oil.  Rinse face with cool water.

Chocolate covered pretzel rods make a wonderful gift for  saying thank you or just a nice gift in general.  They are easy to make and you can personalize them with sprinkles according to whom you are making them for.  Here is how you make them.

1. Melt one 12 ounce package of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of shortening.  Watch carefully so it does not scald.

2. Dip one end of the pretzel rod into the chocolate.  Dip at least half way down.

3. Immediately sprinkle with sprinkles of your choice.

4. Place on a sheet of waxed paper to dry.

5. Wrap in cellophane paper to give as a gift.

Raccoons can be rather mean.  Sure they may look cute, but if you tick one off then you will know it.  And not only are they mean but they are trouble as well.  If you have raccoons around your home and do not want them invading your space, you can try these tricks.

1. Use spices to get rid of raccoons.  They do not like the strong smell of black pepper, cinnamon, or dried peppers.

2. Use solar powered lights to keep raccoons at bay.

3. Consider adding motion lights to deter raccoons.

Rabbits are very cute.  They are a sign that spring is coming or summer is already here.  Yet they are not so cute when they get into your garden and ruin it.  Here are a few ways to keep rabbits out of your garden for good.

1. Scatter human hair clippings around the garden.  This works because rabbits can smell humans and they think that they are around, so it will keep them away.

2. Sprinkle used kitty litter around the garden.  This will scare the rabbits off.

3. Place a fence around the garden so the rabbit can not get in.

4. Consider raising your garden to a raised bed if the garden is not that big.

You love the look of the big cookie cakes in the mall but hate the price.  Make your own for a fraction of the cost.  Just decide what kind of dough you want to use and lets get busy.

1. Take your cookie dough and arrange on a round pizza pan.

2. Bake according to recipe directions.

3. Cool completely.

4. Decide how you want to decorate it.  Use frosting and little candies or sprinkles to make this happen.

Think aspirin is just for headaches and body aches?  Think again.  You can use aspirin for your face to make a great mask.  It is cheap to do and will leave you with a soft face that is very clean.  Try it yourself to see the amazing results.

1. Take three to five aspirin and place on a plate.  Use ones that are not coated.

2. Add a few drops of water to soften and break them up.

3. Use a spoon to break up more.  Mix into water.

4. Apply to a clean face.

5. Leave on for up to 10  minutes.

6. Rinse off with hot water.

7. Do this up  to twice a week.

You wash your face at  night after having makeup on all day and think that is good enough.  It is if all the makeup comes off.  But many woman are still going to bed with makeup left on their faces.  How can you stop that?  Try this remedy.

1. Apply some olive oil to a cotton ball.  You made need a few cotton balls.  Apply to your face like you would with toner, and then once the face if covered, go over your eyes to get off all eye makeup.

2. Take the pads of your fingers and work the oil into the skin.

3. Rinse with warm water.

4. Use your regular cleanser and then rinse with warm water.

5. Tone with your toner.  You should see no signs of makeup left on your face.

You love the look of a great manicure with longer nails.  But you have a tendency to bit your nails.  You wish you had the long nails because they are so attractive but you bit no matter what.  Here are some ways to stop biting your nails for good.

1. Remind yourself that there are many germs under your nails and that when you bit them, those germs go into your mouth.  This should be a great reason to stop the biting.

2. Get a manicure professionally done.  You would not want to waste your money for nothing and if you bite your nails you will be doing this.

3. Apply a nail strengthner so your nails harden.

4. Use your favorite shade of nail polish so you are not tempted to chew.

No one likes having an oily face.  But it is reality that several people do have them.  If you are wanting to get rid of the greasies, here are some steps you can take to make that happen.

1. Wet face with warm water.

2. Add a small amount of face wash made for oily skin.  Make sure that you use a gentle cleanser.  

3. Apply in circular motions, and then rinse off.

4. Do a final rinse with cool water.

5. Tone the face with witch hazel.

6. Apply aloe gel to moisturize.
